In the summer, the lush meadows that surround the villa provide peace, privacy and respite, while in the winter they take on a fairytale appearance as they are enveloped in a pristine blanket of snow. The home’s ground floor features two large bedrooms, each with their own ensuite bathroom, a cozy living room with a wood burning fireplace, a dining room for revelrous meals and a modern state-of-the-art kitchen which can be used for self-catering or for booking a private chef. The second floor features a third bedroom. This private home is the ideal basecamp for exploring southern Iceland’s fascinating natural wonders, including the famous black sand beaches and the Katla volcano which slumbers under the Mýrdalsjökull icecap. 

 

Hvitarnes Villa

Enveloped by views of distant hills and mountains, this modern architectural gem is located a short drive from Þingvellir National Park and is an ideal location for exploring the major sights of the Golden Circle and beyond. The contemporary interior design is both comfortable and luxe, with large windows showcasing the surrounding Icelandic wilderness.  An open floor plan homes a state-of-the-art kitchen, large dining table and sumptuous living room for fun gatherings and meals. All five bedrooms are located on the top floor and each decorated in cozy, chic Nordic design. Three bedrooms include en-suite bathrooms, while two additional bathrooms can be found on either floor. An elevator provides easy access between floors. Unwind in the hot tub, the indoor pool or the outdoor sauna which is enclosed for enjoyment year-round. The 1,000-hectare Dalur estate is tucked into the Snæfellsnes Peninsula and is flanked by the dramatic cliffs of the Elliðatindar mountain range, cool lakes, ancient rivers, lava fields and hot springs. This historical farmhouse and its outbuildings date back to the turn-of-the-century and have been lovingly restored to seamlessly meld its heritage with modern Nordic design. The main house features a Scandinavian sauna, large modern kitchen with chef station, expansive lounge areas, a cold plunge pool and an outdoor geothermal pool. A large games room houses a fitness center, bar, pool table and tennis table, Sonos speakers, lounge and barbeque. Two stand-alone suites are situated close to the main house: The newly renovated Stable Suite has vaulted ceilings, a mezzanine bedroom, living area and private terrace. Langarfossar Villa houses six bedrooms, five of which have double beds and ensuite bathrooms and one of which has two twin beds.
